Trash Pickup

Regular Trash Pickup occurs on Wednesday, and is handled by BFI. If you have any questions or concerns about trash pickup or would like to schedule a bulk item pickup, please call BFI Customer Service at 610-265-6337. Bulk items are picked up the first Wednesday of each month.

Recyclable Pickup

Paper recycling occurs on Mondays. CoMingled recycling (plastic, metal, glass) occurs on Tuesdays.

For all trash and recycling, please place on your curb after 8pm the day prior to collection, and remove your receptacle no later than midnight of the day of collection.

Leaf Pickup

The Borough of Rockledge picks up leaves in the autumn and winter. The Borough prefers that you bag your leaves (no bigger than 35lbs.) and place them on the curb.

Snow Plowing

During the winter season, the Streets Department plows streets throughout the Borough. If a snow emergency has been declared, the Streets department will plow each side of the street alternately each day. On even days, please park your vehicle on the even side of the road, and on odd days, please park your vehicle on the off side of the road. This will allow the snow plow personnel to plow the free side of the road. It is recommended that you shovel your driveway and park there to decrease the number of vehicles on the street, as it become difficult to find parking during this season.

Christmas Tree Pickup

In January and February, the Streets Department will pick up discarded Christmas trees left on the curb of the road.
